Manchester United Academy Director Anthony Whelan is impressed by the 'football mentality' of the Lugogo-based Proline Soccer Academy players.

"For the short time I have worked with these players (U-17 category), I have been amazed by their mentality. It's fantastic," Whelan said after spending close to five hours with the players on Friday.

Whelan, an expert at handling junior players after his 15-year familiarity with the English Premiership giants' academy is in the country for a four-day visit at the invitation of Proline Director Mujib Kasule and patron Julian Ferdinand.

During his session, jointly conducted by Man Utd Academy boss John Shields, players, coaches and press went through a classroom lecture and physical training at the Lugogo Sports Complex.
