Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) stormed the Federal Polytechnic, Offa in Kwara State to quiz some top management staff over alleged financial malpractices.
Among those interrogated by the ICPC are the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Mufutan Latin-wo, the Registrar Mr. Olatona, the Acting Bursar Mr. Paul Enimola and the Director of Works and Services of the institution.
A petition received by the commission which accused the management of the institution of purchasing an official vehicle not provided for in the capital budget prompted the investiga-tion, according to an ICPC state-ment issued yesterday.
It was also alleged that the building of the School of Business and Management Studies at the permanent site of the institution was over-valued and the electronic payment of school fees and purchase of admission forms are shrouded in secrecy.
