Kickoff (Cape Town)
6 October 2008
Thanda Royal Zulu assistant coach Ian Gorowa has congratulated striker Bernard Parker on being voted as the PSL Player of the Month for September.
Parker beat the likes of SuperSport United winger Daine Klate, Bidvest Wits midfielder Clifford Mulenga and Ajax Cape Town striker Mabhuti Khenyeza, to walk away with the monthly award that also carries a ticket to the Player of the Season contest.
Gorowa tells KickOff.com that Parker deserves the recognition.
"He has not only done well for himself, but the team as well. I have no doubt that his selection to Bafana Bafana will also motivate him to continue doing better."
Bidvest Wits coach Roger De Sa was voted as PSL Coach of the Month for September.
PSL CEO Kjetil Siem has congratulated both Parker and Da Sa on their achievements:
"Well done to Roger and Bernard. They have set the standard now for the rest of the season," Siem said.
