Kickoff (Cape Town)
6 October 2008
Jonathan Quartey is back in the Ghana squad for the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho on Saturday barely a week after the GFA announced he will miss the game through injury.
The Kaizer Chiefs defender was included in the original squad that football chiefs here run through but by the time it was officially announced his name had been omitted with an ankle strain cited as the reason.
Now though the same football association says he has recovered and is expected to join the rest of his team mates for the game in Sekondi on Saturday.
The addition of Quartey takes Rajevac's squad to 23 players for the must win qualifier in Sekondi on Saturday.
Quartey impressed Rajevac in Ghana's loss to Libya in Tripoli in September.
