The Benue State government is to award another contract for the construction of two more rural roads even as it had concluded arrangements with a US-based firm to establish a yam flour and starch producing factory in Zaki-Biam, Ukum Local Government Area.
Governor, Gabriel Suswam made the disclosure at a grand reception which the Ngenev Development Association organised in honour of indigenes natives of the area.
Four of those honoured include: Professor Saint Gbilekaa, Chief of Staff to the governor; David Sevav, Chairman Ukum local government Emberga Keghku, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and James Ityoakoso, one of the commissioners in the Local Government Service Commission.
The fifth, Mr. Richard Gbande, is the president of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Benue State.
