Tanzania: Referees to Undergo Fifa Test

Arusha — Soccer referees assessment tests for FIFA certificates will take place in Arusha on October 8th and 9th .

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) General Secretary Fredrick Mwakalebela, said TFF was satisfied with Arusha sports awareness and that is why they chose Arusha to be the test venue.

Some 20 Tanzanian referees would undergo the testing and names of successful candidates would be sent to FIFA headquarters for certification and badging.

Mwakalebela said preparations for the testing were at an advanced stage and the exercise would be held at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium.

Arusha region will be represented in the exercise by three referees namely Judith Gamba, Sara Gerald and Samwel Hudson Mpenzu who is also secretary general for Arusha regional coaches association.

The secretary general for Arusha Regional Football Association (ARFA), Allan Brown expressed his joy on the TFF decision to choose Arusha as their venue for the testing exercise saying it showed TFF's recognition of Arusha's potential in sports.
