Angola: Damásio's New Album Sold Out At First Public Presentation

6 October 2008

Luanda — The Angolan musician Matias Damásio on Sunday, in Luanda, sold 9,000 out of the 10,000 copies edited by MG Produções of his latest album, at the public presentation and autographs session held by the gate of Atlântico Cinema, in Luanda.

The session, which started at 08:00 am, was temporarily interrupted twice, because the quantities available at the spot had finished, so more copies had to be fetched to satisfy the huge crowd of fans in the place.

In this first edition, only 1000 copies will be available in the record shops.

The 12-track album, entitled "Amor e festa na lixeira" (Love & Party in Lixeira ward), already has some hit songs being played on the radios, namely "A outra", "Sempre Maria " and "Esperança".
