Luanda — Luanda's "David Bernardino" Paediatric Hospital has recently benefited from a USD 100,000 donation offered by the Chevron-Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, said a press release issued by this institution delivered Monday to ANGOP.
According to the communiqué, the donation, which will be used to funding the training actions of "David Bernardino" Paediatric Hospital's personnel, was handed over by the executive deputy chairperson of the oil firm, George Kirkland.
The source also added that this gesture is part of Chevron's long-term commitment, aimed at contributing to the improvement of quality of the health services provided in the country, mainly in relation to the maternal-infantile health.
The executive vice-chairperson of Chevron, George Kirkland, stated that the partnership with "David Bernadino" Paediatric Hospital dates back to 2001, when this oil company started giving assistance to the health institution in terms of medicine, waste materials, equipment and staff training.
