Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, this Monday here received the United Nations under secretary-general and executive director of this organisation's Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), the Tanzanian Anna Kamujulo Tibaijuka, with whom he analysed, among others, aspects relating to the housing strategy in Angola.
"The moment lived in Angola is the best to guarantee social houses, (...) since peace and stability favour policies towards this goal", the Tanzanian diplomat told journalists at the end of the meeting held at one of the rooms of Talatona Conventions Centre.
Anna Tibaijuka availed the occasion to praise the Angolan President for the efforts underway meant to improve urban development and the population's living standards.
The UN official attended the main event of the World Habitat Day, which was celebrated this Monday in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
