Kampala — THE Fire Base Crew, led by Ghetto president Bobi Wine arrived at Nkumba University to wild cheers from the students recently.
The visit was the second of MTN's Late Chat activities that will traverse higher institutions of learning featuring various local artistes.
MTN Late Chat is a new call rate at which subscribers can call for as low as sh1 per second, while sms' will cost sh35.
Bobi Wine took to the stage amidst deafening ululations from the audience. He performed several of his old and some of his latest hits that included Mazzi Mawanvu, Ebibuuzo and Nsinga.
Other institutions that will benefit from the MTN Late Chat experience this month include Busoga University, Tororo UCC, Nagongera UCC, Soroti UCC, KIU Ishaka, Mbarara University, Kabale UCC, NTC Nkozi, Adduka UCC, Gulu University, Muni NTC - Arua and Mountain of the Moon University in Fort Portal.
The tour will climax in the Buddu Yello Fest in Masaka next month. "We believe the youth are a critical market for our future growth. We must continue to develop ways of keeping this segment lively with relevant products," said Gasper Mbowa, MTN's segment manager.
