Lagos — Globacom Limited; the Official Sponsor of the Super Eagles, is offering subscribers on the network who are football fans free tickets to watch this weekend's Angola/South Africa 2010 qualifying match between the Super Eagles and the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
The offer according to the company comes with an attached comfort of watching the match from a secure and comfortable corporate suite at the National Stadium in Abuja on Saturday.
Okon Iyanam, Globacom Executive Director, Marketing Communications, said the Glo Match Experience is a loyalty reward package for the network subscribers who are passionate about football and the Super Eagles.
"The Glo Match Experience has been packaged to provide an atmosphere of conviviality, safety and refreshing time for fans who have over the years been loyal subscribers to the Glo Mobile network. It is part of our contribution to the enjoyment of football as the Official Sponsor of the Super Eagles and biggest supporter of football in Nigeria," Iyanam explained.
One hundred lucky Glo Mobile post-paid subscribers will have the opportunity to watch the Super Eagles from the Globacom corporate suite at the Abuja National Stadium. The fans will enjoy a ride to the stadium from the Abuja Regional office of Globacom and will also be entertained with music, food and drinks inside the Globacom Corporate Suite.
He further disclosed that 1, 000 fans who are Glo Mobile pre-paid subscribers will win free tickets to watch the match at the Abuja National stadium.
"The Glo Match Experience is for all our subscribers, whether on post-paid or pre-paid platforms because we value everyone on the network. One thousand fans from the Glo Mobile pre-paid platform will be provided free tickets to watch the match from the popular stands and they will also receive Glo Green T-shirts to identify with the Super Eagles and cheer them to victory," Iyanam said.
Fans, who wish to benefit from the Glo Match Experience, are to respond to an SMS invitation to be sent out on Monday, October 6 and the offer is exclusive to old and new Glo Mobile subscribers.
"To benefit from this offer, our post-paid subscribers are to text 'I Rule' to 35002' while the pre-paid subscribers are to text 'I Rule' to 33002'. Only those who accepted the invitation by replying to the message will be considered for the Glo Match Experience."
