Baidoa — The UN is planning to withdraw non-all staff from Baidoa town after insecurity acts increased in the town for the last weeks.

UN spokesman who declined to reveal his name told the BBC that the insecurity threats in the town forced them to plan the pull out of workers.

He said the permanent attacks and killings increased in the town is their main concern on the evacuation of their workers.

"We believe the security threats in the town forced us to decide the evacuation decision," the spokesman said.

He said because of the insecurity in the town lacked even the most basic services which made the area a "tinderbox".

Baidoa has experienced different insecurity incidents in the last weeks as government officials were killed as well government's important bases attacked including the parliament centre and the house of the speaker.
