Windhoek — Food and blankets are some of the items to be handed over this afternoon to the Moira Grace Children's Home this afternoon by three companies on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.
The Millennium Investment Group, a multi-disciplinary company involved in investment, property development and fishing has taken the initiative to support a worthy cause. Cell One and Verizon Business are also involved in the project.
"Keeping in mind that these children do not have homes, food or even toys, Millennium Investment Group has decided to make a staff effort this year towards collecting these basic necessities that could be donated to a needy children's home in Windhoek," said Kondjeni Haufiku, the PRO of the company, in a press statement.
According to Haufiku the company has decided on the Moira Grace home, which is a children's home owned and run by Ms Afrikaner for the past 9 years. The home will celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 10 2008...
The company intends to make this an annual event and will hopefully reach out to other towns in Namibia. The donation forms part of the company's corporate social programme.
