Luanda — Angola's newly sworn-in Justice minister, Guilhermina Contreiras da Costa Prata, Tuesday here pledged her sector's commitment to the implementation of efforts for the better functioning of courts with a view to promote an efficient and dynamic exercise of the country's Justice.
The government official made these statements at the ceremony aimed at introducing herself to the workers and collaborators of Justice Ministry, under which she expressed optimism about their positive engagement.
Guilhermina Prata voiced important the work provided by courts, due to their role in resolution of pressing issues of the citizens, in the ambit of the top priorities for the sectors of judicial organs.
The minister also pledged that her sector will continue with registration project of children underway at maternities.
"I thank for the opportunity extended by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, by allowing over 30 percent of women at the decision making organs, and I believe that we will contribute to the country's progress", said Guilhermina Prata, who replaced Manuel Aragão at the post.
