Angola: Tourism Minister Calls on Professionals for Greater Commitment

Luanda — The Angolan minister of Hotel and Tourism, Pedro Mutinde, Tuesday in Luanda called on the sector's professionals for greater availability, rigour, commitment and dedication, so that the actions and programme outlined by the Government reach the outlined goals.

According to the new minister, who was speaking at the first meeting gathering the managing board of the Hotel and Tourism Ministry (Minhotur), said that the Government team wants to speed up the various productive and economic sectors of the country, competing the tourism in the same order, a branch which currently offers more than 72,000 jobs

The hotel and tourism sector yielded in 2007 an amount currently estimated at USD 340.9 million

Over 2, 350 hotels are scattered countrywide.
