Luanda — The teams of 1º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda are due to play on Tuesday at Rio Seco pavilion, for the seventh round of the provincial basketball championship.

The match, which is the first between both clubs in the current season, will oppose the title holders (Petro de Luanda) and the defending national champions (1º de Agosto). The two teams have won most trophies in the country.

The team of 1º de Agosto are favourites, as they still have the same squad that won the national and African title, only missing the Cape Verdean player, who left the club.

On their turn, Petro de Luanda will be in disadvantage after the release of Luís Costa, Shannon Croocks (regular players), Domingos Bonifácio and Leonel Paulo, who left for Desportivo do Libolo.
