Angola: Fire Brigade to Open New Unit in Lucala District

Ndalatando — The Fire fighter Command in northern Kwanza Norte province will open in 2009 a new barrack in Lucala district, 36 kilometres east of Ndalatando city, ANGOP learnt Tuesday.

According to the institution's spokesperson, Estêvão Castigo, the administrative works of infrastructure for the opening of the referred command are already in advanced stage.

The opening of a unit in Lucala is urgent, due to existing of the storage and distribution facilities of fuel and butane gas, owned by the oil company SONANGOL.

Fire Brigade in Kwanza Norte operates only in districts of Cazengo, provincial headquarters, and Kambambe.
