Uganda: Youth Leave for Club Commonwealth Games

Kampala — RAMADHAN Akula has promised discipline and hardwork among the youth team that left yesterday for the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India.

The 400m runner from Gombe High School led a 15-man team of four disciplines to the ten-day games opening on Sunday.

The team was seen off in Kampala by sports commissioner Dan Tamwesigire.

The team:

Athletics: M. Kibet, D.Chesang, R.Akula, A.Cherop, D. Huru, Chekwel and Namayo Mawerere (coach)

Table tennis: E. Omongole, D.Ssekyanzi, Z. Khaukha, A. Namaganda and coach Emmanuel Matsyetsye

Weightlifting: M. Kaitesi, C. Ssekyaaya, coach T. Senfuma

Badminton: P. Nang'endo, D. Ssebunya, H. Ebayo and Gilbert Ofuyuru (coach)
