Tunis — Tunisia has comforted its place as the favorite destination of French tourists, writes the French tourism daily, "Le Quotidien du Tourisme" in an article dated September 16,2008, entitled "Tunisia, a destination for the four seasons."
French visitors in Tunisia, top the 850,000 European tourists that have visited the country during the first 8 months of 2008, representing an increase of 6, 8% in comparison with 2007.
"In a delicate economic situation, French tourists have privileged close destinations and good relation between cost and quality and Tunisia meets those conditions", writes the daily.
The daily also adds that with the opening of the "Hasdrubal Thalassa Prestige", a veritable "water temple", as well as that of the "Golf Residence", Tunisia is pursuing the diversification of its tourist sector.
"The arrival of such prestigious names as "Ramada", "Regency" and "Warwick", are proof enough of the confidence Tunisia enjoys among these major chains", writes "Le Quotidien du Tourisme."
After the beach holidays, it is possible to continue one's holidays by discovering the lesser known Tunisia, that of Tozeur, accessible by plane or road, the Selja canyons , Kairouan and its glorious history, Dougga and its Roman temple, Tabarka and its forests. "From the weekend break, to the lengthier family holidays, Tunisia is a destination for the four seasons", concludes the article.
