Tunisia: 14th Session of Mahdia's 'Sea Fest' to Showcase Leisure Activities And Cultural Heritage

Tunis — The 14 th session of Mahdia's "sea festival" which is expected to take place from July 19 to 26, will showcase leisure activities, culture, as well as the area's rich heritage inherited from a myriad of successive dynasties which have reigned on the legendary city.On the festival's menu organisers have planned an upbeat, non-stop, program of activities ranging from art exhibits to swimming contests, to a petanque tournament, and a regatta sailing race.

Other activities will include an ecological awareness raising competition, a marine ecology exhibit, singing performances and a final 'tourism day' which will feature visits to the town's fish market and a competition of the best fish dish. Games involving the participation of various hotels are also scheduled.

The town which has witnessed a spiralling tourist activity over the last years will no doubt attract a considerable number of visitors who will flock from nearby areas to attend the festival.
