Tunis — The works of exceptional Tunisian artist painters are currently on display at the "Kalyste" art gallery in Tunis.
A testimony of art's perennial existence, the exhibit features the works of living artists, as well as those who have left us like Brahim Dhahak (1931- 2004) Ali Ben Salem and Ali Bellagha.
The visitor will be interpellated by the sheer exuberance of the works displayed, like those of Victor Sarfaty, a painter born in Tunisia and currently living between France and Germany, and Moncef Guiga, a medical surgeon by trade but also, an artist endowed with exceptional sensitivity and an amazing chromatic sense.
Fethi Ben Zakkour's works are also worth admiring, often enigmatic, they display a rare sense of artistic rigour (see photograph).
Whether abstract or figurative, the canvasses displayed offer a rare ballad into the artists' creative craft and rich imagination, as well as an hymn to life and love.
The exhibit is open till October 5 at midday.
