Sierra Leone: Eco Bank Donates to Leone Stars

Before departing Freetown for Nigeria, Eco Bank Sierra Leone yesterday donated 60 T-shirts and 90 Lacosters to Leone Stars at the National Stadium hostels.

Leone Stars would face the Super Eagles on Saturday in the final match of the first phase of the 2010 World Cup/ Nations Cup qualifiers.

Theophilous Minnah, the bank's wholesale banker said the donation was a monetary influence but a gesture from the bank.

He said his institution was trying to have a good relationship with the national team in the feature.

"The bank is trying to develop a policy aiming at supporting the national team," Minnah said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the team, Coach Ahmed thanked the bank for the gesture adding that they are looking forward to develop a good relationship with the bank.

The team departed Freetown yesterday with Captain Mohamed Kallon, Jaccob Mila, Christian Coker, Goalkeeper Tommy, Alpha Lansana aka Mark Fish and Alphajor Bah.
