Uíge — The command of the first military region will on Thursday hold, in Uíge city, northern province with the same name, a conference under the topic "Defence in the reinforcement of the role of the State", on the fringes of the commemorations of the founding of the Angolan Armed Forces as a single amy, to be marked on October 09.

ANGOP learnt this Wednesday from a source with the organisation that the gathering will debate themes such as "The multidisciplinary character of the national defence and its inter-ministerial articulation", "Knowledge on polemology" and "The importance of civic and patriotic education within the Angolan Armed Forces".

The conference, to happen at Ginásio cinema, shall be presided over by the commander of the first military region, General Gouveia de Sá Miranda, and will be attended by members of the National Defence Institute (including lecturers), officers, sergeants and soldiers.
