Dundo — At least 228 foreigners illegally residing in Angola were repatriated from northern Lunda Norte province, by the Migration and Foreigners Services (SME), from September 22 until the current date, in the framework of the combat to illegality.
According the director of the Information and Analysis Division of SME, Edmundo André, who revealed the fact to the press on Wednesday, from the 228 expelled aliens, 195 were coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), 18 from Guinea Conakry and seven from Mali.
The remaining four are from Cote d'Ivoire, three from Congo Brazzaville, and one from Guinea Bissau.
Edmundo André explained that the culprits were repatriated from the Tunguila border checkpoint, land crossing of Fúri, Chissanda and Fortuna, respectively, in the districts of Cuango, Caúngula, Cambulo and Chitato.
