Nairobi — Two government workers kidnapped in Mandera Town are still missing.
They were in a Ministry of Agriculture vehicle that was hijacked by suspected militiamen from Somalia on Monday night.
Mandera deputy police boss Johan Chebi told reporters after a security meeting that Kenyan officials were making efforts to contact interim Somali officials for information on their location.
Earlier on Tuesday, reports indicated the vehicle was in the Gedo region of Somalia, which shares a wide border with Mandera.
