Sierra Leone: Man 26 Rapes Girl, 13

A 26 year old man has appeared before magistrate Bankole Shyllon of court 3 in Freetown for allegedly raping a 13-year old girl. The incident took place on 26th September 2008 at Ojuku Junction, east of the capital city.

The complainant Adama Musa told the court that she reported the matter to the police after she discovered that the accused had sexually assaulted the victim.

Defence counsel Fande Tunah applied for bail to be granted to his client and his plea sustained for Le 2 million.

The matter was adjourned to October16, 2008.

Also Asmire Deen and Alhaji Deen were ducked for allegedly threatening and using abusive languages on one Umu Alie.

The incident took place on Sunday 14 September 2008 at 7 Guard Street in Freetown.

The accused were each released on a Le 2 million bail and the matter was adjourned to October 17, 2008.
