Ghana: All Set for Homowo Ping Pong Tourney

Beginning Next Friday, the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) will put together another championship named "Homowo National Juniors and Cadet Open Championship", to be held at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Ohene Djan Stadium, in Accra.

In a release signed by the GTTA scribe, Kwame Amponfi Jnr, the two day championship commences from October 17-18, is to select players into the national junior and cadet sides for international competitions.

The statement added that registration for the competition starts on October 17 at the Sports Hall and prospective participants are requested to come along with their original birth certificates or passports.

It noted that the cost of feeding, accommodation and transportation will be borne by participants.

In a related development, the seniors edition takes place at the same venue from October 23-25, and is intended to select senior players into the national seniors side, the Black Loopers.
