Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, has sent a message to his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Minh triet, on the occasion of the commemoration of one more anniversary of that Asian country's independence, marked on September 02.
According to a press note which reached ANGOP, the message was handed over last Wednesday by the Angolan ambassador to China, João Manuel Bernardo, during a meeting that he held with his Vietnamese counterpart accredited in Beijing, Nguen Van Tho.
In the message, the Angolan President considers that it is a singular moment the celebration of Vietnam's National Day, highlighting the meaningful advances achieved in the economic, technical and scientific domains, as it constitutes a reference for developing countries.
"I am glad to wish success to the Vietnamese government in its effort for (Vietnam's) major development and prosperity", wrote the Angolan statesman.
José Eduardo dos Santos ended his message by reiterating the wish of the Angolan government in reinforcing the ties of friendship and the existing cooperation between both countries and peoples.
