Kampala — THE Queen of local Gospel reggae, Florence Rukundo, recently took her musical status to another level at the launch of her album, Kuuma Endagaano at Hotel Equatoria.
Apart from attracting an impressive crowd, Rukundo also displayed unique traits throughout her concert.
The show turned into a musical drama when she took to the stage with her husband, Rogers Ssendawula, to demonstrate the fulfillment that spouses get if they base their marriage on the principles of mutual love and forgiveness.
Rukundo performed all the love songs off her album, which included Teri Malayika, Kuuma Endagaano (title-track), Mukyala wo and Ye Ggwe.
She also did Bwakka and Ssuubi Lyange.
The fans, who had parted with sh50,000 each, remained hooked to the show by the magnetic power of Rukundo's angelic voice and the irresistible beats of her songs.
Apart from the gate collections, Rukundo also bagged sh1m from the sale of her CDs.
