Kampala — CENTENARY Bank has been hailed for developing the economy by establishing branches in all regions of the country.

The Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Service, Henry Kajura, said: "Being the leading micro-finance provider in Uganda, Centenary is the bank to reckon with in the Government's tireless efforts to eradicate poverty through the Prosperity For All programmes."

"The bank is complementing the Government's efforts in the development of all sectors," he added during the inauguration of Hoima branch's new premises.

Kajura said he was pleased with the bank for targeting the rural and urban poor and spearheading the provision of microfinance in Uganda.
