The representative of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) for Southern Africa region, Cláudia Harvey, praised last Wednesday, the commitment of the Angolan people in peace preservation.
Cláudia Harvey made these statements in Caála district, situated at 23 kilometres off Huambo city, during an inauguration ceremony of the learning centre at this locality.
According to her, the news that she has been receiving about the central Huambo province and Caála district, in particular, was only about war and disturbing situation that stopped with the population well-being.
"I am very happy and proud of knowing that the Angolan people is working to develop their country, as well as conquer a new generation for a better future without war, conflicts that destabilise the tranquillity", Cláudia Harvey said.
During the referred inauguration ceremony of the centre, totally equipped with computing means connected to the Internet, the UNESCO's representative for the Southern Africa region told the teachers and students to preserve the current means put at their disposal.
