Tunis — During his meeting with the Prime Minister Mr Mohammed Ghannouchi on Thursday, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali focused on the repercussions of the recent financial crisis.
Within this framework, he decided to create a follow up committee chaired by the Prime Minister, to monitor the world economic and financial situation, so as to suggest should the need arise, adequate measures destined to maintain Tunisia's development effort and to preserve the national economy from the adverse effects of the world crisis.
He also took cognizance of the implementation of the recent measures he had instructed in view of reinforcing the competitiveness of the country's economic fabric, boost investments and preserve the country's financial balance.
