On Sunday, Agip Motel in Mbarara was dressed with Moonberg Lager banners, posters and placards; in fact, one could wonder if it was a Moonberg Beer launch.
But well, it was WBS's Emily Mwebaze a.k.a Kikazi launching her maiden album at the motel with sponsorship from Moonberg Lager.
By 6 pm, the gates had already opened and though the drizzle scared a few revellers, most people were willing to show the girl of the soil their support.
People turned up in big numbers and they got an equal reward in return as there were several hot artistes at hand to perform before Kikazi hit the stage.
The likes of Sister Charity, Queen Mariam and Shanna, formerly of the Dream Girls, entertained the crowd. Pam award nominee Kigambo Araali Moses and Kampala's heartthrobs Henry Tigan and Toolman set the place ablaze.
And 10 pm was the hour everybody was waiting for as the lady of the day stepped on the stage. The audience cheered on Kikazi as she performed her songs Tukole, Okulwana, Kankwanjule and Embaga.
Emily not only wowed her fans into great music of happiness but she also gave out free goodies from Moonberg lager too. She thanked her ardent fans for being with her in the times when she "expected less because of the rain." Of course she left a happy girl because it was a good show with a nice audience.
