Liberia: Govt Announces Reduction in Petroleum Price

The government of Liberia through the Ministry of Commerce in consultation with the Management of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) has announced additional reductions in the cost of petroleum products.

According to the two entities of government, the new price ceilings reflect a US$20 cent per gallon reduction in the price of gasoline (PMS), and a US$25-cent reduction in the price of diesel (AGO) and Kerosene/jet fuel.

The new price ceilings take immediate effect, the Commerce Ministry noted.

The new price for wholesale/ distribution is US$3.87 for gasoline, US$e.42 for fuel and US$4.57, while retail price for gasoline is now US$4.05, fuel US$4.60 and Kerosene is now US$4.75.
