Ghanaian legend Abedi Ayew Pele says the Black Stars must be confident but cautious ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier against Lesotho on Saturday.
Ghana is desperately in need of all three points to qualify for the next stage of the African qualifiers but Abedi says the players must allow that to get to them.
"The moment we brand this a special game we put pressure on thee players," he told KickOffGhana.com.
"They simply need to consider this another day at the office, play their normal game and win because this is a game perfectly within their reach."
Failure to qualify for the next stage of the qualifiers will mean no competitive football for the Black Stars for one and half years but Abedi does not envisage that happening.
"They should win but it is in the next stage that the real work begins. It is important though that they are not complacent because I have seen many situations like this go wrong. I have seen too many times when a side is expected to win and then failed to do.
"But on the balance of the two teams Ghana should be the favouirtes. They should go in confident but with the attitude of a team that respects the opponents and I have no doubt they will win."
