Angola: Country's Ambassador Accredited to Lithuania

Luanda — The Angolan diplomat, Domingos Culolo recently presented his credentials to the Lithuanian president, Valdas Adamkus.

According to a press release that reached Angop Friday, Domingos Culolo, who is also Angolan ambassador to Sweden, Nordic countries and Estonia, noted that the two States will work hard toward satisfying the interests of the two peoples and governments.

During the accreditation ceremony, Domingos Culolo spoke of the social, economic and political situation of Angola, with stress to the recently held elections and the government's commitment to reconstruction and development of the country.

In his turn, the Lithuanian head of State called for the strengthening of bilateral ties, focussed on enlargement of multilateral relations with Angola, as well as the development of cultural, diplomatic, political and trade relations. Diplomatic and friendship relations between the two countries date back from long before.
