After last weekend's 2-0 lost to Kano Pillars at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, players and officials of Warri Wolves FC are angry with themselves for not winning the N1 million promised them by the Delta state National Sports Commission(NSC), Chairman Pinnick Amaju and the club Chairman Hon.

Godwin I. Abigor, this much was disclosed to Vanguard Sports by the General Manager of the club Mr. Mike Idoko. He said that both men had promised the team the sum of N 500,OOO each if they had won their game with Pillars which they eventually lost.

Despite this minor set-back, the players have vowed to vent their anger and frustration on Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, whom they trade tackles with today at the Oleh stadium as a way of reassuring their fans and supporters that they would surely achieve their aim which is to play on the continent next season.

Idoko, revealed that the players are in high spirit and ready for action, which means their opponent today are in for a massacre but said he is not aware whether the N1 million pledge would be redeemed if they defeat their opponent.

Meanwhile, coach of Lobi Stars FC, Solomon Ogbeide, stated that brighter days lays ahead for Warri Wolves FC.

Ogbeide, who was recently appointed the Technical Adviser of the club disclosed this to sports journalist during last weekend's match against Kano Pillars. He said that his appointment will not disrupt the unity and cohesion in the team.

"I have worked here before with NPA and then Napoleon Aluma, was with me as assistant coach so it is like a home coming for me," Ogbeide said.

"My coming here will also not change anything. The club set a target to play on the continent next season and with hard work, discipline, commitment and dedication we would surely achieve that target".

"What I met here when I came was very impressive and I believe we can build up on that to achieve our said objective," the former Lobi Stars coach said.

He said he would not apportion blames for their 2-0 loss last weekend to Kano Pillars.

"It is one of those things that happen in football. You either win, lose or draw, we just had an off day and have ourselves to blame for not returning from Kano with anything"

"We would take each game as it comes and our plan is to win all our home games then try to pick one or two away from home. We are on course and I do not think there is anything to fear for our fans".

Warri Wolves are presently occupying the fifth position on the league table after amassing seven points from four games and would roll out their tanks at home today against Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna in a week five league encounter at the Oleh Stadium.
