Milovan Rajevac believes the Black Stars will be a much stronger unit in the next phase of the joint 2010 World Cup and Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.
The Serbian watched his team beat Lesotho 3-0 to take top spot in Group 5 on goal difference in his first game on Ghanaian soil and says he will use the break in the qualifiers to continue to build much stronger Black Stars.
"Psychologically the match was important because we could be first, second or third on the league table but the players were fantastic and decided they should win and must win. They were very decisive about the game," he told KickOffGhana.com.
"There is enough time to prepare for the next games. We saw Matthew Amoah his great comeback to the national team, Daniel Yeboah showed he can play at international level. He is a very smart player so there will be many opportunities to look at more players."
Rajevac feels his side will be much stronger with the likes of Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan and Laryea Kingston all likely to be available when it resumes next year.
"It is important to have quality players and two excellent ones in any position. When all the other players come it will be much, much better. There will be enough time to prepare for the next phase of qualifiers. I want to advance tactically."
Rajevac insists after his first win in charge that he can qualify this team for the World Cup.
"I believe this team can qualify for the World Cup and I hope I am the one who guides them to that. That belief has grown even stronger after today."
