Asmara — Eighteen staff members of the Central Region Administration received a two-month course in basic journalism through the collaboration of the Ministry of Information and the regional administration.
The trainees are members of the 20th round of the National Service Program from the Warsay-Yikaalo School. The course focused on the role of the mass media in the nation-building process, journalism ethics, news and article writing, as well as still and video shooting.
The Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Tewolde Kelati, handed certificates to the trainees and said that the course is part of the Administration's efforts to upgrade the skill of its staff members.
