The Kano State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Yusuf Chiroma Kutama has declared the intention of the party in the state to petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the affairs of the state government under Malam Ibrahim Shekarau of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).

Dr. Kutama who leads the Kwankwaso faction of the party accused the ANPP government of causing disunity and all sort of crisis in the state, adding that the PDP is now compiling data of all financial transaction of Kano state government and it will soon tender them to thr antigraft agency for furthe action.

Kutama was speaking at the weekend when mammoth crowd of party supporters trooped to welcome Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo of Kano-North senatorial districty who was sworn in at the senate by the senate president,senator David Mark,after the court of appeal ruling which declared him as winner of 2007 senatorial election against the ANPP senator Aminu sule Garo.

Speaking to the mamoth crowd who welcomed him at the state party secretariat, Senator Bello Hayatu described his victory as the PDP chance to unrest the power from the ruling ANPP in the state, and pledged to continue providing purposeful representation to his immediate constituency and the state in general.

Senator Bello emphasised that the president Yar'Adua leadership is very credible to the democratic sustain ace in the country, adding that 'our president is ready to address all the problems bedeviling governance in the country, he appealed to the people to emulate the 7-point agenda for its significance.

He said the leadership style of President Yar'adua is the best one for the speedy development, while explained that democracy has come to stay in the country with the president government for its unprecedented commitments to all sectors of the human lives.

Senator Bello also assured that "President Yar'Adua is healthy and capable of governing this great country which God bestowed with respected people who are intellectual in their attitude and policies", he explained.

According to him, PDP is the only party that all its policies and programme is meant for the human and economic development which seek the general public emulation for its government policies to achieve its goals.
