Nigerian Samuel Peter yesterday lost his World Boxing Council Crown to Ukraine's Vitali Klistschko in a fight that lasted on seven rounds.
The referee had to stop the fight after the Nigerian nightmare refused to continue with the fight.
Yesterday's fight at the O2 World Arena, Berlin, Germany, was Peter's first defence of his crown after he defeated Oleg Maskaev on March 8 this year with a six round technical knock out in Cancun, Mexico.
Peter, the Akwa Ibom State born pugilist was out punched by Vitali Klistchko that he could not continue the fight.
Klistchko has become the first boxer to come out of retirement to win the WBC championship. The Ukraine pugilist named as "Champion Emeritus" by WBC retired in 2004 by virtue of the concession given to him to return to the ring anytime he feels like by the council.
