Kenya: We Have a Plan to Save Church, Says Bishop

12 October 2008

Nairobi — Catholic Bishop Cornelius Korir of Eldoret diocese on Sunday called on the faithful to be calm over the impending auction of a church and a school over non-payment of a Sh26 million debt.

Speaking at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bishop Korir said his team was working on how to salvage the Pope John XXIII church and Mother of Apostles seminary by tabling a plan on how to repay the loan.

The bishop said Agriculture minister William Ruto had promised to intervene.
