Kaduna — Kano State Governor Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has been nominated as the best performing governor in the country under the present political dispensation.

Northern Youth Awareness Forum (NYAFON), a non-governmental organisation that, rated Malam Shekarau as the best governor in Nigeria, yesterday presented him with an award and a plaque to commemorate what they referred to as a job well done.

Addressing the presentation ceremony held at Arewa House Kaduna, Dan Masani Kano, Alhaji Bello Maitama Sule described Governor Shekarau as a honest and sincere governor who lead his people with justice, equity and fear of God. The Dan Masanin, who took time off at the occasion to extol the good virtues of Shekarau, added that he is a governor with vision and mission who did not believe in the politics of blackmail or character assassination. Maitama Sule noted that if present leaders in Nigeria can barrow a leaf from the style of leadership of Malam Shekarau, the future of the country will be very bright.
