Tanzania: AFC Prove They Can Do It

Arusha — Arusha Football Club (AFC) has maintained its lead position in Group C of the national soccer league after five months. They won 3 games and went even in two matches.

AFC beat Nyerere of Kilimanjaro 1-0; Balimi FC of Kagera 2-1 at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Memorial Stadium.

They went even 0-0 with Saragire of Mara in their third play and also 0-0 with Mwanza United in the fourth play.

In their meet with Police Tabora, AFC were shocked by the second minute goal scored by Mohamed Mdoma of Tabora Police boys after a former AFC player Joseph Mayila gave him a pass which AFC's goalie Abdul Maulid couldn't stop.

At the end of the match the score board read AFC 2, Tabora Police 1.

The teams line was : AFC - Abdul Maulid, Mussa Abdallah, Razak Muhidin, Salum Kitula, Issa Abushir, Francis Daffa, Babu Ally, Fred Paul, Allen Kumburu, Abdillahi Amir and Salim Walii.

Police- Mdahi Kombo, Evarist Maganga, Joseph Mayila, Laban Kambole, Gerald Nathaniel, Hassan Omari, Athumani Mohamed, Leopold Haule, Dossi Abdallah, Mohamed Mdoma and Ally Nkandi.
