Bongo Flava music has moved a long way but Rehema Chalamila a.k.a Ray C has proved that she can move with it at any level.
Ray is one of the best female artists in Tanzania. With a string of songs like Mapenzi Yangu, Sikuhitaji, Uko Wapi, Na Wewe Milele, Hata Mkisema and many others which proved her worth. She has hit back with new songs in her new album Siangilii Nyuma which has already hit air waves of the region's media. In Tanzania, she has been named Tanzania's Shakira but in actual sense she has more wiggles in her moves than Shakira and Beyonce combined, and she looks good doing it. Ray C's music has moved from way back. She worked as a DJ on a show, Dr. Beat, for Clouds FM Radio station in Tanzania and took vocal training lessons.
She has released three albums, Mapenzi Yangu (My Love), Na Wewe Milele (With You Forever) and Ray-C.
She has collaborated with several different artists including RF Chord, Temba from TMK Wanaume, Mwana FA and many others.
