Angola: Minister Stresses Women's Role in Decision-Making Organs

Luanda — The Angolan minister of Family and Woman Promotion, Genoveva da Conceição Lino, Monday here highlighted the role played by women in the country's decision-making organs, mainly in the Government and National Assembly.

Speaking to Angop, the government official referred that women will contribute to the implementation of various projects focussed on the sustainable development and democratisation of Angola.

Genoveva Lino said that the inclusion of women in these organs will enable a greater balance in the approach of themes related to the stability and development of the population.

According to the Cabinet minister, the Angolan woman was always ready to contribute to the country's development, stressing her intervention in the struggle for national liberation and in the conquest of peace.

On the other hand, Genoveva Lino said that woman should pursue with her role of mother and educator in every circumstance of life.

"I believe in this government women will give their best for the development of the country, by being deeply engaged in every necessary task", she referred.
