Angola: Christians Urged to Support Govt in Reconstruction Tasks

Chipindo — Catholic priest Américo Costa, appealed on Sunday in Chipindo district, southern Huila province, to Christians to be aware of their responsibilities in the process of reconstruction and development of Angola.

During the mass, the prelate recalled that the country had just witnessed the most important moments of its history.

To him the holding of legislative elections and the good civic attitude shown by voters is a sign of the responsibility that each citizen has to build a promising future for the country.

Américo Costa called on all citizens for the need to actively participate in the activities planned by the government, suggesting that all citizens should feel as a member of the government.

Ordained last May, in Luanda, by archbishop dom Zacarias Kamwenho, priest Américo Costa was paying a pastoral visit to Chipindo district, where he assessed the reconstruction of the Sangueve mission.
