Angola: Country Attends Conference on Energy in Stockholm

Luanda — Officials of the Energy ministry are participating since Sunday in Stockholm, Sweden, in the International Conference on Energy, which is also being attended by the representatives and ministers of the member countries of the Southern African

Development Community (SADC) and the host nation.

The objective of the event is to identify sustainable solutions for energy situation in the Southern and East Africa, particularly concerning the access to electricity, and the involvement and contribution of the private sector in this field.

During the event the delegates will also discuss other key issues related to energy, namely of the public and private sectors.

The Angolan delegation to the conference, scheduled to end on Monday, is led by the national director of the Ministry of Energy, Vieira Lopes.

The conference is organised by the Swedish International Industry Council, in cooperation with the Sweden's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry for Energy, Trade Ministry, among other organisms.
