Angola: Energy Minister Calls for Greater Commitment

Luanda — The Angolan minister of Energy, Emanuela Afonso Vieira Lopes, Monday here appealed to the staff of the sector for greater commitment, professionalism and reinforcement of spirit of union in the fulfilment of their tasks.

The Cabinet minister was speaking during a ceremony that served to present her to the officials of the ministry, which was also attended by the outgoing minister, engineer Botelho de Vasconcelos.

Emanuela Vieira Lopes said that she is available for proposals and suggestions from her staff focussed on the growth and expansion of the institution.

"The doors of our office are open for us to work together, with every employee and avoid failures in this task of great responsibility ahead of us", she stressed.

On his turn, Botelho de Vasconcelos, who handed over the reports and documents of the ministry, stressed that the ceremony represents the pursuit towards the achievement of national projects under the sector.

On the occasion the outgoing government official also called on his former aides to double efforts for the accomplishment of the projects outlined by the new management.

Among those attending the event held in one of meeting halls of the ministry, were directors, technicians and employees of the sector.
