Luanda — A new site was constructed at "Beiral", third age home to host the various activities of the old people.
Comprising areas of basketry, plastic arts, shoemaker, beauty, reading, spontaneous initiatives, cooking and baking, sewing, embroidery and decoration, the premises was inaugurated Tuesday, by the Rangel district administrator, Maciel Neto "Makavulo".
Built in the institutions' courtyard, the site will be used by the elders who do not reside at the Beiral, the Luanda provincial director of Social Welfare, Augusta Dias dos Santos, has told the press.
In his turn, the administrator of Rangel district, Maciel Neto "Makavulo", praised the government's efforts on the recently built site, which, in his opinion, hosts the elders' every day activities.
Based in Terra Nova ward, the institution houses currently 150 people, amongst them elders, children and youths.
